I have a long list of things to be thankful for in my life right now — it’s been quite a year, really.
There have been big successes at work for both me and my husband.
We bought our first house this spring. We’ve been living here for almost six months now and I am just in love with it. Our lives are very happy right now both in general and in so many small moments each day.
After a long and emotional effort filled with many repeated disappointments, I finally got pregnant! To top that off, we found out we were lucky enough to have conceived twins. As of now, we’ve made it through the first 35 (almost 36!) weeks of pregnancy healthy and with no major complications. We expect to be meeting our son and daughter very soon. Gratitude is not a big enough word.
At the moment, I am lounging on the couch drinking coffee with nog in it and keeping the babies inside while CW works on the Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen. He’s picked up the slack around the house in ahundred different ways already, but today, if it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t be having a real Thanksgiving meal this year.
There have been successes, milestones, and great adventures in the lives of so many of my friends and family this year, too, and I’m so thankful for their happiness.
I’m thankful for my family’s and friends’ presence in my life, too — and this includes YOU, you right there with the face! Without the kind support and wise words of so many good people, navigating all these changes in life would be much, much trickier. So thank you all for you.
Wishing all of you celebrating Thanksgiving a very happy day, absent of political discussions and filled past the brim with delicious food.
